Mae'r ysgol wedi ei phenodi o fewn Categori A yn ôl Polisi Iaith Ceredigion. Nod Polisi Iaith yr Awdurdod yw addysgu disgyblion i fedru bod yn gwbl ddwyieithog yn y Gymraeg a'r Saisneg erbyn gadael yr ysgol gynradd. Yn ôl y Polisi Iaith mewn Ysgolion Categori A yng Ngheredigion, y Gymraeg yw prif gyfrwng bywyd a gwaith y plant yng Nghyfod Allweddol 1 er mwyn iddynt gael sylfaen gadarn yn yr iaith Cyfllwynir Saesneg yn stadudol wrth i'r plant drosglwyddo o'r adran plant bach i'r adran iau.
The school stands in the middle of the village of Pennant on the road from Ciliau Aeron to Llanon. It is a rural school for Infant/Junior children. The school is bi-lingual for children 4 - 11. The number of children in the school varies from 25 - 35.
The school has been designated Category A in accordance with the Authority and Language Policy. This means that Welsh is the main medium of the school's educational, social and cultural life. The aim of the Authority's Language Policy is to educate the pupils in order that they are totally bilingual in both Welsh and English by the time they leave Primary School. According to the language Policy in Category A schools in Ceredigion, Welsh is the main medium of life and work in Nursery and Infant phases in order to establish a sound foundation for the language. There is statuary requirement for English to be introduced when the children are transferred from the Infant to Junior section.
